Wegenkaart - landkaart Wales & south of England - Zuid Engeland | ITMB
Wegenkaart - landkaart Wales & south of England - Zuid Engeland | ITMB
Een degelijke kaart met aanduidingen van o.a. nationale parken, vliegveld, benzinepompen. We are gradually increasing the scales for our data of Great Britain and this is our latest effort. Most visitors to the UK fly into one of London's four airports and combine a visit to the city with an opportunity to travel to various destinations within striking distance of London. England is so incredibly rich in heritage and scenic attractions that it is extremely difficult to portray the country as a map of the entire entity. As a result, England lends itself nicely to be divided into a central/northern portion and a southern portion. To fit areas as diverse as Cornwall and Norwich on one sheet, one needs to have a vertical frame, with Devon/Cornwall up to the top of Wales on one side and Wiltshire to Kent up to York (admittedly, not normally considered to be part of 'southern', but vertically, that's what happens. At this scale, all of southern England and all of Wales can be shown in good d…

Wegenkaart - landkaart SC5&SC6 George to Kareedouw | Tracks4Africa
The Cape to Addo map series covers the southern parts of the Western Cape of South Africa in a series of eight highly detailed maps, printed on four sheets of A1 durable paper.   We start in Cape Town in the west and move along the southern coast through the Overberg, Winelands, Garden Route, Klein Karoo R62, Baviaanskloof to eventually arrive in the Addo National Park up to Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) in the east.   The maps are highly detailed and well researched. Our map scale is 1:200 000 which allows us to show a lot of detail including minor gravel roads, hiking trails, farm boundaries and points of interest which are relevant to self-drive tourists.   The size of the paper is kept small enough to allow this to be the perfect road tripping map. We use Duraflex paper and print two maps per sheet of A1 paper, making this a four-sheet series. Each map sheet is individually packed in a plastic protective sleeve.   The maps are perfect for day drives, overlanding or just doing road trip…

Fietsgids Bikeline Iron Curtain Trail 3 - German-German Border Trail |
Praktische fietsgids met detailkaarten, ingetekende route, informatie over overnachten en fietsenmakers, zwaarte en hoogteprofiel. In spiraalbinding, Engelstalig   The Iron Curtain ran for about 7,000 km from the Barents Sea in the north straight through Europe to the Black Sea and divided the continent in East and West. Until the Velvet Revolution in Eastern Europe it was a physical and ideological border between two blocks which conceived each other as enemies. Not only were many neighbouring states divided, but Germany itself was divided into east and west. Today there are hardly any reminders that the wall ever existed.   The border in Germany was 1,400 km long. The former death strip was composed of 3.000 km of fences, car-trenches for 730 km, 830 observation towers, the brightly lit roads, walls and bunkers – most of it is gone. Remaining are the vehicle roads with their perforated paving stones and several observation towers. And in a few years the sparse vegetation will be supp…

Fietskaart 14 Cycling guides Suffolk | Goldeneye
Fietskaart 14 Cycling guides Suffolk | Goldeneye
To be confronted with the variety and complexity of the cycling routes, trails and paths in Suffolk can be a bewildering experience.  For it appears that the Suffolk County Council and the three District Councils are all trying hard to promote their areas. This is indeed encouraging for the growth of cycling, but it can be confusing.  Our purpose is to provide clear, easy to use and easy to follow, cycling maps, and to illustrate these in a comprehensive form.    Suffolk must be one of the most charming of counties to explore by bicycle. When Al Churcher delivered his routes to us at Goldeneye we couldn’t keep him quiet, such was his enthusiasm and wonder at Suffolk’s country lanes and byways. He has cycled all over the UK, Canada, Mallorca, New Zealand and Sicily, but Suffolk remained a firm favourite.    The inland scenery is not spectacular for the county’s main glory lies with its attractive villages; the local architecture jealously preserved from modern depredation. There is an a…

Wandelgids - Klimgids - Klettersteiggids Via Ferratas of the French Al
This guidebook covers 66 varied via ferratas in the French Alps. The routes are spread over six areas: Geneva and the Northern Alps, Chambéry, Tarentaise and Maurienne valleys, Grenoble and Briançon, amid the Mont Blanc, Vanoise and Queyras ranges. Difficulty ranges from easy, protected routes through to exposed, technical challenges. With some of the most beautiful scenery in the world, the French Alps have long been a popular destination for a wide range of outdoor activities. In recent years, the region has seen the arrival of a growing number of via ferrata routes.   Via ferrata climbing – using fixed cables, bridges and ladders to explore terrain that is normally only accessible to experienced rock climbers – combines elements of scrambling, mountaineering and rock climbing, yet is a very distinct pursuit. Increasingly popular, recent years have seen a surge in the number of routes being established in these iconic mountains.   The routes in this guidebook range from straightforwa…
