De Noctua NH-U12S Chromax Zwart is een processorkoeler die je aansluit op bijna elke socket. De koperen hittepijpen geleiden warmte van de processor beter naar de ventilator dan het gewoonlijke aluminium. De NH-U12S heeft een hoogte van 15,8 centimeter. Hierdoor past hij in veel computerkasten. Bovendien is de koeler met fan slechts 7,1 centimeter dik, waardoor hij je RAM-modules niet in de weg zit. De anti-vibratiepads zorgen ervoor dat de processor niet meetrilt als je ventilator draait, dit verlengt de levensduur van je processor. Via de meegeleverde Low-Noise-Adapter (LNA) maakt de ventilator minder geluid bij lage en gemiddelde temperaturen. Je krijgt maar liefst 6 jaar garantie van Noctua.
