    Op een goede – of eigenlijk slechte – dag blijkt de zee plotseling verdwenen. Alle vissen zijn in rep en roer. Een kleine garnaal is vastbesloten uit te vinden wat de oorzaak is en beweegt hemel en aarde om de leeggelopen zee weer gevuld te krijgen. De dag dat de zee weg was bevat grappige, licht absurde en liefdevolle kinderverhalen met een knipoog naar de wereld van de volwassenen. Filosoof en schrijver Awee Prins tekende de verhalen op die hij aan zijn kinderen Dylan en Duider vertelde.
